June 2019 – This Remote Air Cooled Condenser chiller unit was selected for cooling an office building in Western Canada because the customer did not want to install outdoor chillers that would require a water/glycol system. The project included three indoor chiller sections each providing 65 tons of cooling for a total 195 tons with three outdoor matching air cooled condensers.
Tandem condensers use a unique coil support system that isolates the refrigerant tubes from the frame which allows the tubes to expand and contract without contact and friction wear. They also feature fan cycling, speed control of the first fan and additional head pressure control valves for the spring, summer and fall seasons.
Our Remote Air Cooled Condensers are designed to operate with fan cycling down to 50°F (10°C) ambient temperature, with the addition of speed control of the first fan down to 5°F (-15°C) and with the addition head pressure control valves for flooded condenser and fan speed control for low winter ambient down to -40°F (-40°C). Our condensers can also be selected to operate up to 110°F (43°C) summer ambient conditions. Corrosion resistant components ensure long lasting operation.
